Slow Trip to Insanity

Anyone who knows me really well knows I cannot stand chaos or chaotic noises. I'm not sure if it's because my migraines or my anxiety are triggered by chaos, but whatever it is, it is the fastest way to put me on edge and torture me to the brink of insanity.

I absolutely cannot stand the sound of the dishwasher (run only at night or while we're at work), air conditioner (a bonus to living in the Hobbit Hole - we get the air, but don't have to listen to the actual air conditioner run), etc. Loud, reptetitive noises drive me crazy.

The Hobbit Hole is being
dried out, which means there are large, industrial-sized fans in our quaint abode that have to run for 72 hours straight. Guess what kind of noise? You've got it. Guess who hardly slept last night? (Granted, our bedroom is MUCH quieter than the rest of the house, but you can still hear those monster machines working, no matter how many pillows are over your head). Guess who is trying to work on a talk for church with the constant cadence of industrial wind in the background? (Fortunately, the den also has doors, but those darn machines are just on the other side)

I can't even escape to the bathroom for peace, because I have to hug one of those monsters between my knees to use the facility.

Slowly, I am going insane, and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

It's nice here. Once you get used to the "hug-me" shirts, the padded rooms aren't too bad. :D

That's hilarious - I would sleep like I was hibernating if I was in a house with loud fans!
